Kalispell Mental Health
Sunburst Community Service Foundation provides licensed outpatient mental health services at all five locations. Services include support for children, adults, and families with mental health needs.
Among the services provided are psychiatric assessments, medication management, vocational support, and case management.
Sunburst Mental Health provides an initial assessment in order to gauge the nature of a person's challenges. This may include chemical dependency screening as well as medication assessment. Based on the information gathered, the staff and individual will jointly develop a treatment plan detailing the type and extent of on-going services. These can include therapy, medication management, community rehabilitation, and coordinated support services. These services may occur off-site or within our Sunburst office.
Our guiding philosophy is to provide effective and efficient services to people with mental health concerns in a respectful, participatory manner. We believe that individuals seeking assistance are:
1) the experts about their particular issues and needs,
2) have the right and responsibility to define their own recovery, and
3) are partners with Sunburst Mental Health in working toward the goals that they set for themselves.
Child and Family Center
The Sunburst Child and Family Center provides service coordination, medication management, therapy and Community Based Rehabilitation and Support, as well as offering intensive in-home support services. Our Child and Family team works to provide strength based and child-centered interventions in the home and community settings. Our goal is to collaborate and involve natural and community supports in treatment planning to better ensure long term success for participants in our program.
Home Support Services (HSS)
Sunburst Mental Health Services now offers Home Support Services. Home Support Services (or HSS) is an in-home therapeutic service for youth ages 4 to 18. Typically youth that benefit from this program are children who have either been placed out of the home recently (in a hospital for psychiatric reasons, a group home, jail, etc.) or are at risk of being placed outside of the home due to clinically significant behaviors.
