Services Provided by Family Concepts
Family Concepts Home Visitor Program
Family Concepts Home Visitor Program has quality trained staff who
believe in and model positive parenting. All families have strengths and
Family Concepts opperates from this premise. The pressures and
challenges of family life are such that most families need support and help
at some point in time.

Family Concepts goal is to be a source of this support and assistance to
families. Services are designed to preserve families and prevent child
abuse and neglect. Assistance is provided to reunify families when youth
are placed in foster care. Staff are available to meet with families in the
office or in homes. Parent education, skill building and support are
provided. Role modeling of parenting skills is conducted. Referrals and
advocacy are provided to assist families in receiving health care,
education, nutrition and human resources.

Family Concepts Supervised Visitation
Trained staff members supervise visits between birth parents and their
children when children are in foster care. Parent/child interactions are
observed and re-direction is provided as needed. Transportation is
provided along with case monitoring and planning. Service goals are to
provide family contact with continuity and safety in mind. These services
are provided at all locations.

Parent Education Classes
Common topics include child development, discipline methods, nutrition
and stress management. Family Concepts provides weekly classes with
the curriculum "Parenting Piece by Piece" offered in Flathead, Lincoln,
Lake, and Missoula counties. Eureka provides additional parenting classes
and support groups through funding from the Montana Childrens Trust
Fund.

Drug Testing
Family Concepts offers unrinalysis, saliva, and hair folicle testing to
identify indicators of drug and alcohol use, as well as DNA testing. This
service is provided in Lincoln, Flathead, Lake, and Sanders Counties.
